Trump Threatens to Blow Up NATO and He Means It

Donald Trump is openly floating the idea of pulling America out of NATO. In an interview with the Telegraph, he said he was beyond reconsideration, calling the alliance a paper tiger and noting that Putin knows it too. He took direct aim at Britain, mocking them for not having a functioning navy and slamming allies for refusing to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has effectively shut down as the Middle East war burns on. Trump’s contempt for the alliance he inherited isn’t new. But openly telegraphing withdrawal to a foreign press outlet is something different altogether. NATO has kept Europe out of a world war for 75 years. Tearing it apart doesn’t make America stronger. It hands Russia and China exactly what they’ve always wanted.

Trump’s Oil Wars Show America Is Betting on the Wrong Century

As Trump pushes America toward confrontation with Iran over oil shipping lanes, critics are pointing out the obvious: this whole mess runs on fossil fuels. Analysts call his approach the dangerous volatility of an administration doubling down on 20th-century energy while the rest of the world moves on. Trump’s bet on oil and gas isn’t going so well. The Strait of Hormuz crisis, the NATO tensions, the pressure on Middle East allies, it’s all tied to petroleum. Renewable energy doesn’t start wars over shipping lanes. It doesn’t require alliances built around oil fields. America’s continued fossil fuel addiction isn’t just bad for the climate. It’s bad for peace. And it’s bad for every American who could be sent to fight for someone else’s pipeline.

Does Trump’s Voter Crackdown Shred the Constitution?

Trump signed an executive order creating a national voter list and cracking down on mail-in voting. California Senator Alex Padilla called it a blatant, unconstitutional abuse of power and a clear and present threat to our democracy. Lawsuits are already expected. Elections in America are run by the states. That’s not an accident. It’s a feature of the system designed to prevent any one person from controlling who gets to vote. Mail-in voting is used by seniors, rural Americans, and active military members. Restricting it doesn’t prevent fraud. There’s no evidence of widespread fraud to prevent. What it does is make voting harder for people who tend to vote the wrong way. That’s not election security. That’s rigging the game.

Will the Supreme Court Rewrite Who Gets to Be American?

Trump attended Supreme Court arguments today on birthright citizenship. The 14th Amendment is about as clear as it gets: if you’re born on American soil, you’re an American citizen. Trump wants to end that. Legal scholars across the political spectrum say his position directly contradicts the Constitution’s plain text. If the Court sides with him, millions of people could find their citizenship suddenly in question. The 14th Amendment wasn’t written casually. It was written after the Civil War to guarantee that America could never again create a permanent underclass of people born here but denied full rights. Dismantling it doesn’t fix immigration. It breaks America’s promise.

Is Trump Quietly Making Americans Sick?

A new peer-reviewed study warns of what it calls Trump’s silent but deadly assault on American health. The administration has gutted public health agencies, rolled back environmental protections, and walked away from federal commitments to food and drug safety. One advocate described it plainly: this is not just a policy shift, it’s a wholesale abandonment of government commitments to the American public. You won’t see this on a banner or in a press conference. The damage shows up later, in cancer rates and contaminated water and kids struggling to breathe. Quiet policy kills people just as surely as loud policy does. It just does it where no one’s paying attention.

CRAZY ALERT: Bryon Noem Lives His Truth While Kristi Travels With Corey

Family values, everybody. While former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has been reportedly jet-setting around the world with Corey Lewandowski, her husband Bryon has been living what sources describe as a secret double life, dressing as a woman when nobody’s looking. Kristi is reportedly blindsided and devastated. Now, let’s be clear: there’s nothing wrong with any of that. The problem is that Kristi Noem built her career telling other Americans how to live, who they’re allowed to be, and what families are supposed to look like. Turns out her own house was considerably more complicated than that. Please send thoughts and prayers. Lots of them. Preferably with big boobs, hot pants and sequins.

And that’s the way it is, Today Wednesday April 1st, 2026. I’m Thom Hartmann.
