Has Trump Lost His Mind Over Iran?
Last night Donald Trump gave his first national address since starting the Iran war five weeks ago. Thirteen Americans dead. Oil at a hundred dollars a barrel. The Strait of Hormuz still blocked. What did he give us? A lethargic, rambling speech packed with lies. He claimed we’d nearly completed our objectives while Iran’s regime sits firmly in power. He told NATO allies to go take the Strait themselves. Iran called his bluff and hasn’t budged. The stock market shed $550 billion after that speech. Analysts called it a litany of lies from a man with no exit plan. He launched this war on a whim, plunged the world into an energy crisis, and then shrugged on national TV. There is a word for what we’re watching. The word is deranged.
Did Trump Just Confess He’s Gutting Medicare?
At a White House Easter lunch Wednesday, Donald Trump said this out loud, to a room full of people, like it was the most natural thing in the world. He said it’s not possible for the government to take care of daycare, Medicaid, or Medicare. He said this while his Pentagon is asking Congress for $200 billion to keep fighting the Iran war he started without a vote. Analysts called it absolutely insane. He’s pouring hundreds of billions into a war of his own choosing and telling 80 million Americans their health care is now the problem. This wasn’t a slip. It was a confession. The man who swore he’d never touch Medicare just showed you exactly what comes next.
Trump’s VA Kicked 10,000 Veterans Out of Their Homes
More than 10,000 veterans have lost their homes to foreclosure since last May. That’s the highest pace of VA loan foreclosures in a decade. Another 90,000 are on the way. The Trump administration killed a VA rescue program called VASP even after mortgage industry experts warned them directly. Their exact words at a congressional hearing: “Foreclosure. Period. That’s where it’s gonna come to.” The administration heard that warning and shut the program down anyway. Veterans who had enough income to stay in their homes lost them. These are people who served. Who bled. Who came home changed forever. This is the administration whose president once called fallen soldiers losers and suckers. That wasn’t just an insult. It turned out to be a governing philosophy.
Is Trump’s War About to Empty Your Medicine Cabinet?
Trump’s Iran war is heading for your medicine cabinet. The Strait of Hormuz isn’t just an oil chokepoint. It’s a critical transit hub for pharmaceuticals. With the strait blocked and major airports in Dubai and Doha knocked out by Iranian strikes, air cargo rates from India have jumped up to 350 percent on some routes. Insulin. Cancer drugs. Blood products. Antibiotics. They all move through these corridors. Iran also struck a major helium production site in Qatar, threatening MRI operations worldwide. Most pharmacies run on just-in-time inventory. Supply chain experts say consumers could see shortages and price hikes within four to six weeks. This war is burning lives, burning money, and now threatening the medicine you need to stay alive.
The Super-Rich Hid $3.5 Trillion and Paid Nothing
A new Oxfam report out today marks ten years since the Panama Papers blew the lid off offshore tax havens. The numbers are staggering. The world’s wealthiest stashed $3.55 trillion in untaxed offshore accounts in 2024 alone. That’s more than the entire economy of France. The richest one-tenth of one percent holds 80 percent of that hidden wealth. Meanwhile, Trump is telling us we can’t afford daycare or Medicare. The same billionaires he’s handing tax cuts to are hiding trillions from the tax collector. Ten years after the Panama Papers and apparently nobody got the memo. This isn’t clever accounting. It’s the biggest rigged game in human history, and it’s all completely legal.
Jesus Called. He Wants His Résumé Back
Okay, stay with me. At a White House Easter lunch this week, Trump’s faith advisor Paula White told the president, and we are not making this up, that he is just like Jesus. Betrayed, arrested, falsely accused. She said it’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us. So let’s run the comparison. Jesus fed the multitudes. Trump cuts food stamps. Jesus healed the sick. Trump just said he can’t handle Medicare. Jesus told the rich to give away their wealth. Trump gave them a tax cut. Jesus blessed the peacemakers. Trump started a war. Clergy called it blasphemy. Theologians were stunned. We’ll just say this: the résumé doesn’t quite match. Not even close.
