Trump is an employee of the oligarchs. He gets paid through their contributions to his campaigns that keep him in office and also through grifting rights. His job is to funnel even more walth out of the middle class and up into the oligarchs' coffers. He is doing a great job. Trump knew the Strait of Hormuz would close if he attached Iran, and that was his intention because it would cause an oil shortage, which would trigger inflation, which is a sure-fire way of stealing from the working classes and giving to the rich. He temporarily got the strait opened through negociations so the price of oil would drop, and then he got it essentially closed again so he could make a killing on oil stock.
